MomDot Christmas of Dreams Day 3

MomDot Christmas of Dreams Blog Party is hosting a party for the next few weeks. Its so easy to get caught up in our own blogs, that sometimes we need to find a way to interact amongst each other.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? Do you budget for the holidays? Do you always stick to your budget? Share with us any budgeting tips you may have!

Sponsored by: Appledonia, Hippos Toes and My Bag.

Between November 17th and Christmas, there are three kids birthdays and then...Christmas! We save all year for the last 40 days, so we have to budget. I try to start shopping early November but I still end up going to the mall on Christmas Eve to grab something that I overlooked. And do I stick to my budget...no...I like to think of it as a jumping off point. :) My husband has to pull me back.

Until tomorrow~

That's a lot of birthdays around the holidays! We just have my daughter's birthday 3 days before Christmas, and my oldest son's birthday on New Years Eve, so they kind of fall in the holiday season, so I know how it goes!!

Wow, lots of gift giving at a hard time to do it. Our daughter's b-day is Jan 3, last year was her first b-day we lumped it all together she doesn't know the difference yet

That is hysterical. A jumping off point... at least he can reign you in a little.. it does get a bit exciting seeing the "perfect" gift.

Christmas presents with lots of relatives can be tough. Especially if it ends up exchanging stuff that no one is really that interested in. This year, I came upon a photo project that I think my relatives will like. . .it involves taking a 4.4 photo, putting it on a 4x4 tile, Mod Podge-ing it, adding a felt back, and you have coasters! And if it's a photo of a great time together, not even a boring coaster!
(I'm in the SIH with you!)
