Christmas Eve started off as most do, with wrapping and jolly sing song. The kids were busy making letters for Santa and cutting cookies to go in the oven. Daddy was on the way home to pick us up to start our traditional evening of 'light' watching and more singing!
But something told me that I needed to stay home and continue wrapping. So as I kissed the kiddos, and shuffled them off into the car, the hubby gave me a kiss and a wink, and drove them off.
As I went back into the house, there was something different about the place. I peeked around the corner into the living room, and there stood a man in Red holding a little red ball of fur. He said, that this poor little guy was getting cold sitting in the sleigh and they took a detour to deliver him early. He said to take care of him and gave over the scared little puppy. As I was saying my hello to the new little guy, the man in Red made his escape up through the chimney. And I heard him exclaim, as he rode out of site. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
That is the 'official' story at our house as to how Meko came to be with us!! He is a Shiba Inu going on his 12th week. He does not bark, and needs to be clean, which helps tremendously with potty training!! Yeah!! Isn't he cute!!
Yeah for Santa!! *wink*
